Jamie specializes in helping individuals who have been injured through no fault of their own receive the compensation they need. Through the course of his career, he has successfully prosecuted cases on behalf of hundreds of injured individuals in both state and federal court. Jamie’s practice focuses on medical malpractice, product liability, wrongful death and other personal injury claims. Jamie has tried cases in both federal and state courts in Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky and has appeared multiple times before the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Missouri Supreme Court. Jamie has successfully resolved hundreds of medical malpractice cases involving the failure to diagnose cancer, failure to provide blood thinners following medical procedures resulting in injury and death, spinal procedures resulting in partial or total paralysis and numerous other medical errors. Jamie has also successfully resolved products liability claims involving boat explosions, defective firefighting equipment, defective vehicles, hunting equipment and other defective products. In 2019, Jamie helped lead the team of attorneys who pursued wrongful death and personal injury claims against multiple defendants after a boiler exploded in the City of St. Louis resulting in the deaths of four individuals and injuries to several others. In that case, Jamie represented the family of one of the individuals who had died and then a co-worker who had sustained significant injuries as a result of the explosion. Jamie and the other attorneys in that case, were able to resolve that matter, collectively, for more than $47,000,000.00.

In 2008, Jamie received the Roy F. Essen Outstanding Young Lawyer Award from the St. Louis County Bar Association. In 2012, Jamie was the recipient of the Lon O. Hocker Trial Lawyer Award by the Missouri Bar Foundation. This award is presented annually to three young lawyers in the State of Missouri who have demonstrated outstanding trial work and unusual proficiency in the art of trial advocacy. Jamie has also been named a “Rising Star” by Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers Magazine for 2010-2013 and a Super Lawyer every year from 2014 to the present in the area of personal injury. He has also been named as one of St. Louis’ top attorneys by St. Louis Magazine as well as other accolades.

Jamie received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1998 and attended Saint Louis University School of Law. He graduated cum laude in 2001 and was a staff member of the Saint Louis University Law Journal.

Jamie is licensed to practice in Missouri and Illinois and is admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, The American Association of Justice, the St. Louis Lawyer’s Association and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. He is a past president of the St. Louis County Bar Association, a member of the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and a past Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education Committee for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. He is a Fellow of the Missouri Bar Foundation and an Associate of the American Board of Trial Attorneys (ABOTA).

Finally, Jamie is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Attorneys, which is an invitation-only association of trial attorneys whose membership is limited to no more than 1% of the attorney population of any particular state.
