On January 12, 2012, Matthew J. Rossiter settled multiple trust claims for $225,000.00. Rossiter & Boock represented a trust beneficiary, who filed a suit against the trustee contesting the validity of an amendment to his mother’s trust. The beneficiary also brought a separate suit against the same trustee for breach of fiduciary duty in connection with transfers made out of his father’s trust and against a national brokerage firm for aiding the trustee in effectuating the transfers. All claims were settled at mediation, with the beneficiary receiving $195,000.00 from the trustee and $30,000.00 from the national brokerage firm.
