Roman & Boock: Raising the Bar for St. Louis Law Firms

Roman & Boock is proud to have joined the ranks of established St. Louis law firms in 2025. Though our firm is new, our attorneys have practiced personal injury, medical malpractice and fiduciary law for years. In that time, each of us has found purpose at each client’s side.

Advocacy
As a former emergency room nurse, Rachel Roman is familiar with the moments that make lives fall apart. She previously treated victims of car crashes, workplace accidents and beyond — but she could never advocate for what happened after.
Rachel’s time in the medical field inspired her to change gears. She consequently obtained her legal degree to fight for justice rather than survival. Nearly 20 years later, Rachel is well-known among attorneys in St. Louis for medical malpractice and birth injury cases. Regardless of the case type, she remains eager to stand tall on behalf of others.
“My work is driven by my desire and ability to be a voice for my courageous clients, who are often going through some of the most difficult times in their lives,” Rachel said.
Advancement
Jamie Boock has practiced at prestigious St. Louis law firms for nearly 25 years. Yet, he’s never lost sight of the overwhelming impact of negligence. Careless acts lead to serious injuries, irrevocable life changes and even the loss of a loved one.
As such, Jamie has adopted a warm approach to the law characterized by firsthand communication with clients. He vows to step in when all else seems lost. Whether the case involves a car crash or wrongful death, Jamie identifies the best path forward.
“I enjoy helping people who have been injured receive the compensation they deserve,” Jamie said. “My work helps people move on with their lives and receive the future care they need.”
Compassion
Nancy Troutman worked at a law firm for years before becoming an attorney herself. Those early interactions revealed more than paperwork and procedures. She could see the tears, fears and hopes held by each client.
This proximity inspired Nancy to pursue a career in fiduciary law. Nearly 30 years later, she continues to place compassion at the heart of her representation. As part of a leading St. Louis law firm, she navigates matters of mortality with care — turning a process that could be cold into one of healing.
“Compassion is important, especially when working with a grieving family,” Nancy said. “My goal is to help them, either in the preparation of their estate planning documents or the estate of a loved one.”
Justice
Jennifer Pitzer developed a sense of justice at an early age. Her father worked as an attorney and discussed the law daily. This constant exposure eventually inspired her to tackle a career in law.
Nearly 15 years ago, Jennifer started in public service. There, she witnessed power imbalances tipping the scales of justice to favor those with more resources. Jennifer eventually joined our attorneys in St. Louis to champion people who may otherwise get overpowered or ignored.
“There are so many injustices that individuals are trying to solve when they reach out to the legal system,” Jennifer said. “I feel fortunate to have ended up representing people over large corporations.”
Guidance
John Guletz‘s legal career has spanned multiple St. Louis law firms, starting with a nationwide defense firm. Over time, he craved more client and courtroom interactions, which led him to transition into personal injury litigation.
Now, John recognizes that his clients are often encountering the legal system for the first time. As such, he views himself as a reliable guide to the law. His confident yet communicative approach ensures that personal injury victims fully understand each stage of their case.
“I enjoy helping people who need assistance after being hurt through the fault of others,” John said. “Obtaining results for people who would otherwise not know how to is what drives me.”
